  • Students 4-6 can write a short "Book Tall" (report) and earn stickers. They earn various awards for every 5 stickers

  • Elementary Library Reward Program - (98% of the students in grades K-5 earned a Library Award by filling their “Library Punch Card." Students’ cards were punched when they didn’t have any late returns, fines or lost books. They could also earn punches by completing library skill activities and practicing library manners. Qualifying students had their picture taken and received a magnet and a small prize.)

  • Teacher input into selection and purchase of material - Teachers are given various catalogs to view. Teachers request needed materials verbally, by PAN (Pass-A-Note) or written requests. To purchase materials, a purchase order is completed then signed by the principal.

  • (Summer reading program informational letter - Students in grades Kindergarten through sixth grade have the opportunity to participate in the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge. Students are encouraged to participate but not required to participate. About 45 % of the students participated in the program this past summer.
